𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘦𝘳 2: 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗔 𝗙𝗮𝗻 𝗢𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀
HARVIN’S POV
I had a bad morning today because I was too tired to get up and go to the company. Our album promotion just ended a week ago. But here we go, we are being summoned at the company. Ten months ago, we were just a trainees having a future which was totally unknown.
We strive and work harder in order for us to be deserving of what future awaits us. Relationships and strong bonds were established the moment the survival show started. We were 24 but only 7 managed to make their debut. On January 17, 2021, 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 Seas or infamously known as OT7s was officially announced as the new idols and boy group under Vybe Labels.
By February 9, 2021 we officially announced our fandom name officiated by OT7s leader, John Riley Yang. We named them “OTceans”, because like the bodies of water, seas cannot be called a sea without the vast ocean. OT7s is not OT7s without OTceans, our lifeline and home.
There may be bad days and tiring days that we, idols experience but thinking about those people who are waiting for our comebacks patiently and continuosly showing their supports toward us is something priceless. It magically brush off the pain and tiredness we feel.
“Harvin-hyung wake up already.” I heard Riley’s voice and light poking on my cheeks.
“Hmm, w-what? It’s monday, we have no schedule at the timetable. Let me rest some more.” I groaned.
“Let’s wash up and fix ourselves. Also for us to start this day productively.” Xavier added. Just an expected answer from Xavier who always take the side of Riley Yang.
“Yesss! Thanks Xavier-hyung.” Riley exclaimed and winked at his Xavier hyung.
“Awit lods.” I subconsciously muttered. Even if I myself doesn’t know its meaning. I just heard it from my former Filipina hair stylist.
“Oh, that’s a Filipino word, right Harvin-hyung?” Kenzo pointed out cheerfully. The sunshine king is now as cheerful as the sun peeking through our dorm’s window.
“Yeah, I guess?” I halfly answered.
“I think it is, hyung.” Matteo said while nodding his head like a cute puppy.
“Yaaaah, Night wash up first before using your phone!” Xavier being the loud one never failed to scold the sluggish habit of Night every morning.
We all ended up bursting into laughter from that scene. Well, except for Frosh who’s a bit in a daze. He was sitting straight, not even blinking his eyes.
But we don’t need to worry. We all got used to seeing him at that state every morning. I think he was like that ever since he was born.
I smiled happily while sitting on the dining table together with them. I gave Matteo a fist bump.
“Hey, Harvin-hyung I cooked your favorite. Ramen with spam~” Matteo said gleefully.
“Yeah, thanks bro.”
Kenzo handed each of us our chopsticks and after blessing our foods we dig in. I was ready to go back to my bed when Riley had an announcement.
“Director-nim texted me that we should report to the company today, guys.”
Kenzo pouted while Night was pinching his cheeks. Xavier, Frosh and Matteo were in awestruck after hearing the announcement.
“But our album promotion just ended.” Kenzo blurted out the words I failed to say.
“Yeah, isn’t this week should be our break?” Frosh seconded.
Riley Yang heaved a sigh, “Supposedly, yes. But it is already Director-nim who summoned us. Aren’t we afraid to our boss?” He let out a playful chuckle.
“Of course, we do!” Matteo and Xavier immediately answered.
I shook my head before going in the bathroom. So yeah, today’s another episode of work day. Kaja!

I was surprised at the moment we enter the buliding. More than 20 applicants were already waiting at the lobby. Some or most of them looked tense and nervous. I was not expecting this number of applicants. I mean, we are just a rookie boy group. And the thought of many people lined up just to be our make-up artists and hair stylists is something spectacular.
I must admit, OT7s has a good visuals, vocals and talents to look up to. So, shall I not be surprised?
Apparently, this job hiring of additional staff should not push through if our former stylist didn’t do rude and unprofessional things to Riley. Our leader received a countless insults and rude treatment from our former staff. But apart from that, our leader remain strong he chose to carry on. Still, he became the leader who smiles and bravely faces each day aside from being one of the youngest in our group.
Director-nim asked us to wear face masks so that...

when we arrive we will not cause any commotion on the applicants. And so we wore casual clothes for us to easily blend in to the crowds.
However, I don’t know why but right at that moment I glanced at her position. We locked eyes for almost just a minute but her face and eyes never left my mind. It felt as if her face had a special space on my mind and rent in forever.
“What’s with that stare, Harvin-hyung? Is she gonna be one of your toy girls again?” Matteo whispered to me while his eyebrows are wiggling up and down.
“What? No.”
“Oh so, our lover boy hyung got caught into a love at first sight e?” Xavier playfully added.
I shook my head and glared at them. These kids are making fun of me again. Clearly forgetting that I am their hyung.
“Shut up. Let’s just get in. Mclaine Miranda is probably waiting for us.” I said as I walk faster than them.

The moment she went in this room, I never got the chance to look away from her. She has this beautiful face especially when smiling. And I find it cute when she’s in fierce. I didn’t care anymore on the nonstop tease I got from Xavier. Even Mclaine Miranda is shaking her head because of the silliness and crazy things coming from Matteo’s mouth. These members, really…
I don’t care as long as I’m seeing and hearing that woman. Now, I got to know her name. Brynn Samantha Meneces, a lovely name that entirely suits her.
I nearly fall out on my seat when Mclaine called me to be Samantha’s model. But since, I’m handsome I managed to play it cool.
She was more beautiful up a front view. But I did also noticed how many times she was flabbergasted while looking at me. I did also saw a flush crept up on her cheeks. Was it because of me? I hope so..
I like it how gentle her hands move while dolling me up. She was good. From her hand maneuvering the brush on my face felt like I was a glass sculpture she was afraid to get stained and break. She handles me like I was something precious to her. Like I was her lifeline.
And yet something flutters inside me when she described the make-up she has done on me. Fresh and captivating. I like those.
“Cute.” Oh man, what was I thinking? I prayed she didn’t hear it.
A moment being with her didn’t last long as I received a phone call. It was Mom. The call took half an hour, I got a nice and good talk with Mom. Because ever since I became an idol I seldom talk to my family. As when I go back to dorm all I ever wanted to do was to rest. Thus, I never had enough and good time to check on my family. I am glad that today was of a perfect timing.
“Liv! I made it. Tanggap ako. Ang sarap sa pandinig no’ng, ‘we’re glad to have you as a part of Vybe Labels. Waaaah ang pogi ni Harvin sobra!”
I was on my way back to the interview room when I heard a familiar voice screaming while talking with someone? Maybe on a phone? She’s speaking language I couldn’t fathom. But there’s one word that struck me because of its sense of familiarity. I often read it at our v-lives.
“Can I ask you something?”
“Yes, what is it?”
“What does pogi means?”
She was stilled for a few seconds. And so, I thought did I asked a question which offended her? I shook my head. I am really losing myself. That was st*pid of me, by asking those it meant I was eavesdropping. But it wasn’t my intention too.
“See you on Monday, Samantha.” I played cool and winked at her.
As I was walking away, I remembered something. Frosh asked that word at the v-live and our beloved OTceans immediately replied. Pogi means handsome in Filipino. I can’t help but smile from ear to ear.
“Harvin pogi.” I chanted while smiling. She knew me, and I was handsome for her? I will definitely make ways to get close to you.
